Fabrication d'un grand rack de rangement pour tubes métalliques pour une quincaillerie — de la conception 3D au soudage, au meulage et à la peinture jusqu'à l'assemblage final en magasin.
Commercial metalwork projects bring their own unique set of challenges. Scale, load capacity, safety, and aesthetics all need to be considered in a way that goes beyond the typical residential job. This pipe and metal tube rack for a hardware store in Albion was one of the largest fabrication projects I have undertaken.

The 3D design — a full-size visualisation of the finished rack
The client needed a rack system capable of storing metal tubes and pipes of varying lengths and diameters in an organised, accessible way. A 3D model was produced first, allowing precise dimensions to be confirmed and the structural design to be reviewed before any steel was cut.
Welding and grinding the rack components in the workshop
Continued fabrication — every weld ground smooth for a clean finish
Final grinding pass before the painting stage
Sections suspended for an even paint coat — all surfaces reached
The full set of sections suspended and painted
The finished painted parts — primed, coated and ready for assembly
The rack fully assembled and loaded in the hardware store — exactly as designed
The completed rack was assembled on-site in the store. Every section fitted as designed, the structure was level and rigid, and the store staff had a proper system for organising their tube and pipe inventory for the first time. A satisfying result from start to finish.
